The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department will hold a promotion ceremony on Friday, May 23, 2014, in Toledo City Council Chambers. On that day Fire Chief Luis Santiago will promote three members of the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department in a ceremony set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
Promoted to Deputy/Assistant Chief will be Battalion Chief Karen Marquardt. Marquardt was appointed to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department on June 28, 1996.
Promoted to Battalion Chief will be Captain Michael Nicely. Nicely was appointed to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department on September 11, 1992.
Promoted to Captain will be Lt. Robert Walters. Walters was appointed to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department on June 28, 1996.
Promoted to Lieutenant will be Private Michael Howe. Howe was appointed to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department on July 20, 2001.
